It has been weird at times, like when you go to unlock the back door and expect him to come running, but nothing happens. We definitely miss him, but I'm glad we were able to make a good transition with the boys so that they understand what happened and got to say bye. He was so good and patient with the boys and Josh loved to wromp around with him when he would come inside for the night. And we know how you feel. Duke was a part of your family. It's not easy to let go and say goodbye. It's been 7 months now since we lost Bubba and it has gotten easier but every once in a while...it still really hurts. So know that we understand on another level and if you guys ever need to talk or look through old puppy pictures...just let us know! I agree with Lalo.
